NVIDIA Jetson Boards
1 products
NVIDIA Jetson boards are compact development platforms that deliver tailored AI and parallel processing power for embedded systems. This category includes modules like Jetson Nano, TX2, Xavier NX, AGX Xavier, and the latest Orin series. Each model, with its specific CUDA core count, Tensor cores, and energy efficiency, addresses different project needs—from robotics and autonomous systems to computer vision, deep learning inference, and industrial IoT.
Key Technical Highlights
- GPU architecture: Maxwell, Pascal, Volta, or Ampere based.
- AI performance: TOPS (tera-operations per second) for inference.
- Memory: LPDDR4/LPDDR5; capacities from 4 GB to 64 GB.
- Storage: eMMC 5.1, NVMe SSD support (varies by model).
- Interfaces: USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, CSI camera, PCIe, GPIO.
Selection Criteria
When choosing the right Jetson board, start by evaluating the target inference performance (TOPS), power budget, and form factor. Entry-level modules like Nano and TX2 NX excel in low-power edge AI tasks, while Xavier NX and Orin devices shine in high-throughput video analytics or multi-sensor fusion applications. Community and software support (JetPack SDK, CUDA, TensorRT) also play a critical role for long‑term development.
A common mistake is reducing processor power to just GPU core count. Real‑world performance depends equally on memory bandwidth, software optimization, and thermal constraints. Don’t overlook cooling solutions and expansion interfaces (e.g., MIPI camera inputs) as they affect your project’s physical integrity.
